Ulfen celebrates 1250 years: A festival full of tradition and community!

A special anniversary is coming up: Ulfen will celebrate its 1250th anniversary from June 13th to 15th, 2025. What a reason to be happy! The festival will kick off on Friday, June 13th at 7:00 p.m. in the festival tent, where entry is free. Beforehand, an exciting program is planned to delight locals and visitors alike.

Special highlights can be expected on Sunday, when a festive service will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in St. John's Church. From 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. there will be a standing parade in which numerous Ulfen clubs, including basket weavers from Alheim and a liqueur stand from Lüderbach, will take part. What would a celebration be without good food and drinks? On Sunday, visitors can look forward to a wide range of offers. Delicious specialties are served from the wood-fired oven, along with cool drinks and the opportunity to enjoy local delicacies at the local farm. While the parents eat, the little ones can answer exciting questions at the children's rally and have fun at various stands, such as the Ulfener Jäger.

A tasty wild boar goulash and the widely popular coffee and cake from the rural women's association in the tent from 2 p.m. round off the offer. Brass music and performances from various local clubs will provide the right atmosphere from 3 p.m. The 50th birthday of the Ulfener Jungs brass band will also be celebrated in style.

Entertainment and culinary delights

Visitors can look forward to an exciting exhibition of tractors and vintage cars. Animals such as ponies, donkeys, sheep and goats will be able to be experienced up close for the little ones. The lovingly organized raffle, which is supervised by the students of the Wiesenschule, expects numerous winners.

The festival also offers an interesting safety mile where simulations and information stands from the district traffic guard can be found. For the active guests, there will also be a dance evening with the band Watzmann on Saturday, June 14th, from 9:00 p.m. The entrance fee for this is 12 euros. A concert by the Ulfener Jungs brass band on the same evening at 7:00 p.m. promises wonderful musical entertainment.
