The 66-year-old not only earned his livelihood at Hephata, but also helped to help shape numerous changes in personnel and labor law. Today, the HR department at Hephata has reached a considerable size. "We are now 65 employees for more than 3,300 employees," said Friedel. His key tasks included the introduction of new software solutions and the cooperation with the employee representative (MAV). It attaches great importance to constructive cooperation and always searches for optimal solutions, even in critical phases.

A look into the future

With the end of his service on June 30th, Friedel also wants to use more time for personal projects. Activities such as vespa driving, travel in the motorhome, e-bike excursions and regular gym visits are on his list. "Retirement is a big step, but I'm looking forward to the many new opportunities," said Friedel.

The agreement of Friedel's values ​​with the principles of Diakonie also reflects the labor law regulations.
