Next Saturday, June 25, 2025, the Melsung city sports hall opens its doors for the highly expected Volkswagen Cup of the C-youth. The possible highlight for many young handball talents is kicked off at 10 a.m. with the opening game between the MT Talents and the JSG Westfalen. This event, which is supported by the VW plant Kassel, not only promises exciting games, but also a wonderful opportunity to promote young talent.
The participants of the tournament include renowned teams such as the Füchse Berlin, the Middle Hesse Youngsters from Hüttenberg, TV Großwallstadt, TSV Anderten from near Hanover and the JSG Westfalen, which is a cooperation between ASV Hamm-Westfalen and Ahlener SG. Coach Björn Brede from the MT Talents is confident and sees his team on a promising path to further development, especially when it comes to the defensive and offensive style of play. This is particularly important because the preparation for the 2025/26 season is already in full swing and the qualification for the regional league has been successfully completed. mt Melsungen

The highlights of handball
and while the C-youth is preparing for the new challenges, the A-youth of TuS Königsdorf remains undefeated in the North Rhine League. An exciting game against HSG Siebengebirge ended in a dramatic 27:28 victory, with Moritz Köster converting the last seven meter and making everything clear. After the Königsdorfer were in the lead with a few goals up to the 51st minute, it became tight for the hosts after the equalization. But the team's fighting spirit made this important victory in the end. Rheinische advertising sheets report
