Animal holiday games in Baunsberg: Children discover the animal world!

The summer holiday games for 30 children have begun in the Baunsberg district center in Baunatal, who are enthusiastically exploring the topic of “animals of this world”. This topic was chosen by the children themselves and is now the focus of numerous exciting activities. The little animal friends are looked after by a dedicated team, including Daniela Becker, Monika Lieber and Doreen Materne. The concept is based on animal-assisted pedagogy, which creates beneficial areas of learning and experience.

Each day begins with a “wake-up game” that gets the children in the mood for the day’s theme, with the last week particularly focusing on black and white animals such as pandas and zebras. Christina Pavel, a children's educator from Fürstenwald, visited the group with three sheep, Cilly, Nellie and Fritzi, who were able to pet and get to know the children. Mayor Henry Richter joined in the merrymaking and also included his visit in the holiday games.

New topics and exciting experiences
