Summer project A City for All”: Baunatal invites you to diversity!

Today, July 10th, 2025, the exciting summer project “A City for All” starts in Baunatal, which offers numerous activities and events on the market square until August 14th. This project, supported by citizens, artists and the city of Baunatal, aims to make the city center more lively and create events for the population of all ages. A central element of the project is the creation of a wooden hut that will be used for both catering purposes and storage. The project is accompanied gastronomically by the Osteria reBelot, which spoils visitors with culinary delicacies.

The concept is based on the idea of ​​not only promoting the city through creative events, but also strengthening the community. “A City for All” is part of the “Ab in die Mitte” initiative and will take place in the middle of the market square, where mobile trees invite you to linger to create a green oasis.

Events and highlights

The first event taking place today is CITYmalt from 5pm to 8pm. The focus here is on art events in which the artist Nino Bal Do transforms an old car into a work of art. Visitors are warmly invited to bring old favorite pieces with them and take part in creative hands-on activities. Musical entertainment is also provided.

The series of events continues with the CITYschmeckt event on July 12th and 19th, which runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on both days. Here, participants have the opportunity to share delicious food that they have brought with them and make new acquaintances - an opportunity that will certainly be very popular with relaxed music and a sociable atmosphere.

Special offers for all generations

The other activities that provide variety include the outdoor sports event CITYbewegt on July 24th, the sing-along concert CITYsingt on July 31st and the board game campaign CITYplays on August 7th. The end of the project will be marked by a salsa evening called CITYtanzt on August 14th, where participants can not only dance but also attend a workshop. DJ SINCO and DJ ZDEE provide the musical accompaniment, and Hotel Scirocco offers a wide range of gastronomic offerings.

For the organizers, especially Stadtmarketing Baunatal GmbH under the leadership of managing director Dirk Wuschko, the participation of retailers and restaurateurs is essential. They are invited to bring their own offerings during the events in order to revitalize the city center and promote togetherness.
