The driveway to the Frankenberg dialysis center has finally been renovated – patients breathe a sigh of relief!
There is reason to be happy in Frankenberg: the driveway to the dialysis center at the district hospital has been successfully renovated. As the HNA reports, the work began on Thursday by the construction company Rohde. The old surface was thoroughly milled away, unevenness was smoothed out and a new, eight centimeter thick layer of asphalt was applied. The “bumpy road” that caused many patients discomfort and pain during transport for a long time is finally history.
Heinrich Finger, a dialysis patient, had repeatedly pointed out the unacceptable conditions and was not afraid to publicly complain about the poor condition of the road. Peter Gauder, a responsible ambulance driver, also repeatedly pointed out the need for renovation, especially on the last section of the driveway, which was steep, winding and characterized by numerous potholes.
Costly measures for improvement
The renovation cost the city around 35,000 euros, an investment that quickly proved necessary. The first district councilor Karl-Friedrich Frese announced the measure and commissioned the Rohde company to carry it out. The project was finally completed on Friday, including fixing the banquettes. Gauder thanked the patients on behalf of the rapid and necessary renovation work, which now ensures improved access to the dialysis center.
The measures come at a time that couldn't be more timely, with winter weather conditions just around the corner and the condition of the road could have caused even more problems in the coming months. The new asphalt surface not only ensures greater safety, but also more comfort when traveling to and from the hospital.
A positive result that shows that sometimes a small intervention has a big impact on people's well-being. Citizens will certainly be relieved that such urgent concerns are being taken seriously and implemented.

The example of the dialysis center driveway can also be applied to other projects that may require similar attention. It is to be hoped that this type of commitment will continue in the future.
