FSG Burg-Gräfenrode crowns the city cup winner in Karben!

An exciting weekend for football in Karben! The FSG Burg-Gräfenrode successfully prevailed at the city cup in Petterweil and brought the trophy home. In a gripping final against FSV Kloppenheim, the FSG triumphed 2-1. The tournament took place at VfB Petterweil for over two days and attracted numerous spectators. Around 400 football fans came on Friday evening, who were not only enthusiastic about the games, but also for an after-show party. On Saturday, about 250 other visitors traveled to play the last placements and to be given the cup of Mayor Guido Rahn, like the FC Karben already prepared for the next challenge: the group league season 2025/26. Despite some departures from top performers and a retired squad, the team is optimistic. Head coach Maik Zinnecker, who wants to integrate new talents with his coaching team around assistant coach Marius Troll and goalkeeper coach Robin Graf, relies on a strong performance in the upper third of the table. New additions such as Loay Eboutalib, David Leyrer and Dorian Music are already in the squad.

Without a doubt, FC Karben, who played for the championship last season, will do everything possible to build on old successes. The second team also has ambitious goals in the district league.
