herbal liqueur in the change of time

How the world of herbal liqueurs has developed over the centuries also shows the history of this spirit. In the 16th and 17th centuries, the further development of distillation technology led to an increasing popularity of herbal liqueur. Well -known recipes were developed in monasteries and kept secret in family businesses. With industrialization in the 18th and 19th centuries, the production of monasteries shifted to private distilleries. The range of liqueurs grew, and while in Germany and Austria there were often stronger, bitter variants, in France and Italy, they were increasingly relying on sweeter tastes.

Nowadays, herbal liqueurs experience a renaissance, especially in the course of the craft spirit trend. Small distillers rely on natural ingredients and individual recipes, which is well received by the audience. The focus on regionality and sustainability today is decisive and the demand for high -quality, pure edible spirits increases. Heiners Erben is an excellent address to experience tradition and fresh creations.

For all lovers and connoisseurs of herbal library, it is definitely a good opportunity to try the new varieties of the "Otzberg & Friends" series!
