TV Alsfeld: Basketball youth is planning with new teams for the season!

Alsfeld, Deutschland - The basketball players of the TV Alsfeld recently completed their season and enthusiastically look back on the experiences of the past few months. A highlight was undoubtedly a visit to the Fraport Skyliners in Frankfurt, where the Alsfeld players were allowed to follow an exciting game that the skyliners narrowly won. On this occasion, the young basketball players were not only able to watch the professionals, but also take part in the Kids tunnel and clap with the stars. A special experience had a parent, Jörg Sßdorf, who tried a halfcourtshoot, but unfortunately missed the cash prize. After the game, the autograph hunt was announced, in which the young athletes could collect memories of their idols.

The U12 end of the season was another highlight that was celebrated with a sociable get -together with parents, players and trainers. Parents-child basketball games as well as other game offers such as injuries, spike ball and table tennis provided a lot of fun, while the fragrance of freshly grilled sausages was in the air.

The Volcanos have big plans for the coming season and would like to report four teams:

• A U12 district league team (born in 2014 and 2015)
• A U14 district league team (born 2012 and 2013)
• a U18 national league team
• A men's team in district league B

The U12 team will consist of players of the U12 and U10 (born 2016/2017) and is still looking for young people. The U14 also has the need for players and plans a development season to further promote the talents. In the U18, new additions are also expected because they will compete in the district league.

As part of their efforts to promote basketball enthusiasm, the TV Alsfeld carried out primary school campaigns at the Gerhard Hauptmann School and the city school. Here the pupils had the opportunity to acquire the coveted ball game badge in bronze, which certainly facilitates the first steps into the sport.

Together with the initiative of the German Basketball Federation, which is supported by the infographics for promoting young talent in basketball, the TV Alsfeld is committed to developing young athletes. These factsheets, which were created in cooperation with the umbrella organizations, offer a clear presentation of the promotion of young performance in Germany and can support the association in the further development of its programs and structures. Adam Ligocki, the sporting director of the DBB, emphasizes the importance of these resources and emphasizes how you can benefit athletes and trainers.
