Marina Lötschert shines as Calamity Jane at the Bad Hersfeld Festival!

The Bad Hersfeld Festival is just around the corner and promise a brilliant program for theater lasers. The open-air theater festival will open with the Shakespeare tragedy "König Lear" next Friday. Director Joern Hinkel announced a fascinating piece that is staged as a mixture of political thriller and family drama. The festival are a highlight of the cultural season and expect numerous prominent guests, including the new mayor Anke Hofmann, Interior Minister Nancy Faeser and Hesse's Prime Minister Boris Rhein, who officially opened the season. Stars like the actresses Anja Kruse and Elisabeth Lanz as well as athletes like footballer Nia Künzer will also be present to celebrate the event.

A special highlight in this year's series are the appearances of Marina Lötschert, which will not only be seen as amanda in the new production of "As in Heaven", but also as a cook Maria in "Midsummer Night's Dreams". Lötschert already worked in "like in heaven" in 2024 and is an important part of the local village community. Her career as an actress started many years ago when she took on the role of Calamity Jane in an amusement park. Versatile program with new productions

The Bad Hersfeld Festival runs over eight weeks and end on August 27th this year. In addition to "King Lear", five other plays, a musical and a musical supporting program are offered. After the premiere of "King Lear", the highly expected musical "Jesus Christ Superstar" follows on Saturday, in which Andreas Bongard takes on the leading role of Jesus from Nazareth.
