Art enlightens Bad Hersfeld: Vernissage Light and Shadow” inspires!

Bad Hersfeld, Deutschland - On June 17, 2025, the vernissage of the annual exhibition of the Bad Hersfeld art association took place in the Fulda Art Association. An important moment for the art scene in Hesse, which already marks the fifth cooperation between the art associations in Bad Hersfeld and Fulda. The event was opened by Anne Härtel-Geise, the 1st chairman of the Fulda Art Association. Together with Stefan Grauel, the city council of Fulda, and the chairman of the Bad Hersfeld art association, Tertia Kapfer and Kathrin Gerhardt-Nieselt, she welcomed the numerous guests in the new exhibition and project room.

The room itself is a community work that was created with a lot of commitment and many volunteers. Under the motto "Light and Shadow", 35 artists from the Bad Hersfeld region gathered to present their works in various techniques. These include acrylic and oil paintings, mixed media, drawings, photographs, sculptures and watercolors that reflect the fascination and complexity of the light and shadow world.

The exhibition invites visitors to discover the interactive relationship between light and shadow that acts as inseparable elements in art. These opposites go hand in hand and enable numerous artistic forms of expression. The works can still be seen until August 10, 2025, and the opening times are from Thursday to Sunday, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. The venue, the Fulda Art Association in Habsburger Gasse 2, is ready to receive the visitors into the exhibited work with incoming insights.

In addition to the impressive art, there was also a musical pleasure: Anastasia Boksgorn accompanied the event with sounds from a French violin that dates from 1784. Their melodies literally danced through the room and created a special atmosphere that made the works of art appear even more alive.
