Daring chase in Fulda: Motocross rider escapes the police!
On Saturday afternoon there was a shocking chase in Fulda that pushed the police to the limits of their capabilities. At around 4 p.m., a police patrol noticed a motocross rider who was driving extremely recklessly at the intersection of Heinrichstrasse and Bahnhofstrasse. Standing on the seat of his motorcycle and riding hands-free, the young man posed a significant danger to traffic. The pursuit took the officers along several streets, including Pauluspromenade, Michaelsberg and Weimarer Straße. But when it went into the park via the Weimar Tunnel, the police could no longer follow and the driver escaped. The man, probably around 20 years old and dressed in short dark trousers and a muscle shirt, was wearing a motocross helmet. His motorcycle, a potential Honda with an exhaust system exiting to the right side, caused additional attention due to heavy smoke.
Risks and legal consequences
The police have now launched an investigation against the driver. He is accused of a number of allegations, including prohibited motor vehicle racing, forgery of documents, misuse of license plates, as well as violations of the compulsory insurance law and driving without a license. The license plate that was attached to the motorcycle did not match the vehicle and this detail only increases the legal problems for the driver.
