New climbing paradise in the Hünfeld Citizens Park: Comet Tail” is here!

A new piece of play equipment was recently inaugurated in the Hünfeld Community Park, which is guaranteed to bring joy to the little adventurers among us. The “Comet Tail”, an exciting climbing frame with a net for balancing and hanging, a bar slide and a free climbing wall, has been installed and is already receiving lots of enthusiastic feedback. Mayor Benjamin Tschesnok described the climbing device as “the new highlight” of the park, which invites many children to let off steam and climb to new heights. In order to give this new offer a first check, city councilor Karin Grosch tested the comet's tail together with two children and thus created a good atmosphere.

But not everything is completely peaceful in Hünfeld. Another important piece of news is currently causing confusion: the bridge over the Haune in Sargenzeller Weg has been closed. This means that farmers have to take detours, while pedestrians and cyclists are still allowed to use the bridge. The question here is how long this diversion will last and what solutions the city can speed up.

A highlight for children and challenges for farmers

The “Comet Tail” in Bürgerpark is certainly a welcome change for the youngest and offers a space for play and exercise. In this respect, Hünfeld is doing good business with this new offer, as the Bürgerpark is now a more attractive leisure place for families. At the same time, however, the circumstances surrounding the closed bridge are a less pleasant aspect that makes things more difficult for farmers and residents.

The fact that the city park now has such a playground equipment is well received by the population. It is also a sign that the city administration is also investing in the necessary infrastructure, even if renovation work such as the closure of the Sargenzeller Bridge clouds things somewhat.
