Velmeden, Deutschland - Last night a very special festival was celebrated in Velmeden. The local festival, which was launched on the occasion of the 1250th anniversary of the district, attracted numerous visitors to a full-filled marquee. Mayor Dirk Oetzel emphasized the importance of the village community for social cohesion and presented a linden tree as a symbolic gift. There was also a little surprise from the local leaders: they brought a young maple tree with them, which was also presented as a gift.

Gremmels praised the cultural engagement in Velmeden and Rathgeber, appropriately described the festival as "festival of cohesion". The big celebration was finally opened with the solemn prickation of the festival beer, and it was celebrated happily until late in the evening.
