In Witzenhausen, the cherries are already in the starting blocks! The 57th Kesperkirmes, a highlight in the region's event calendar, takes place from Friday, July 11th to Sunday, July 13, 2025. The start makes a festive opening program in the wine village on Friday evening, where the guests are welcomed with a varied music program. On the same day there will be the traditional spitting cake meal from 4 p.m., organized by the heart ladies, and this will be fun for the whole family.

A particularly emotional moment will be the crowning glory of the new cherry queen. Sophia Mausolf is now entitled and was crowned during the Kesperkirmes. The celebrations start with an ecumenical service in the Liebfrauenkirche and a musical morning pint on the market square.
