A piece of Apulia: Italian delicacies in Robins Nest Witzenhausen!

A small piece of Apulia in the middle of Frau Holle Land - this is Robin's Nest, a charming treehouse hotel near the picturesque Berlepsch Castle in Witzenhausen. Edward and his team welcome guests in a unique environment that invites you to linger and enjoy. Under the culinary direction of Luca Marinari, a 34-year-old chef from Puglia, lovers of Italian cuisine will get their money's worth here. Not only does Marinari have a family tradition of cooking, but he has also lived in Germany for 13 years and brings authentic flavors and recipes from his homeland.

The menu offers, among other things, the traditional Pizza Barese as well as changing daily specials, which are characterized by homemade pasta. The team is particularly proud of the pizza, which is baked at an impressive 400 degrees in just 90 seconds. The dough has time to mature over 24 hours, giving it the perfect consistency. All ingredients are carefully selected: either they come from the region or they are imported directly from Italy. This not only ensures first-class quality, but also supports local producers.

Culinary experiences in the tree house hotel

The restaurant, which was expanded in 2019, can accommodate up to 50 people and invites you to enjoy warm cuisine from Thursday to Monday, which is served from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Breakfast is available for day guests every day from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., but you must register in advance via WhatsApp. The prices are family-friendly: 24.90 euros for adults and 12.90 euros for children between 4 and 12 years old. Reservations are required for dinner and the popular brunch, which is available from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and costs 35 euros per person.

Robins Nest was founded ten years ago by Peter Becker and has grown steadily since then. Originally there were three treehouses, but guests can now also stay in stilt houses, a safari tent, a cathedral or even a treehouse sphere. The treehouse hotel is known for its relaxed atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the built-in spa area with sauna. Visitors can use the forest sauna for 20 euros per person - even without a hotel stay, daily from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Nature and adventure

Of course, the location on the Werra-Burgen-Steig Hessen quality trail not only offers idyllic views, but also numerous hiking and leisure opportunities. Whether a romantic short vacation or relaxation with the family – everyone will find what they are looking for here. Maybe one or two childhood dreams of a tree house can be realized, as you can find out on the tree house hotel website, where these unique retreats are described as ecological and affordable.

If you are curious and would like to find out more about Robins Nest and the possibilities of staying in treehouse hotels, you are welcome to take a look at the official website or the Robins Nest Facebook page.
