New chief physician for orthopedics: Dr. Jörg Beardi heads the Eschwege Clinic!

The city of Eschwege has a new chief physician for the orthopedics and trauma surgery department at the Werra-Meißner Clinic. Dr. Jörg Beardi, an experienced specialist, took over management on July 1, 2025, succeeding Dr. Axel Blasi. The 53-year-old brings a lot of experience from clinics in Fulda and Darmstadt and chose the position in Eschwege because he finds the clinic to be ultra-modern. HNA reports that the clinic has a new operating theater and is well positioned for the future.

Dr. Beardi is an outdoorsman and enjoys cycling, which familiarizes him with the rural region, which he particularly enjoys. Together with his passion for medicine, he plans to move into an apartment in Eschwege; He currently still lives in Fulda. His area of expertise includes surgery and specialized trauma surgery, supplemented by additional qualifications in emergency medicine and quality management. He also worked as an emergency physician and senior emergency physician for a long time.

A strong commitment to patients

Beardi emphasizes the importance of endoprosthetics for patients' quality of life. He sees the surgical field as an opportunity to achieve quick results and help people, which is part of his commitment to quality patient care. His department will remain the first port of call for orthopedics, trauma surgery and sports medicine in the region. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of treatments.

This includes the central emergency room, which is open around the clock. There, patients receive support with illnesses or injuries to the musculoskeletal system, and quick help is offered after accidents. The offer ranges from non-surgical treatments to routine operations and complex procedures.

Sustainable networks and future plans

Already now Dr. Beardi has made initial contacts with other colleagues and sports clubs in the region and plans to further deepen these relationships. He wants to build a strong network within the medical community to ensure the best possible care for patients.

The orthopedics and trauma surgery department at the Werra-Meißner Clinic is therefore in the best hands to continue to work at a high level of quality and to provide patients with comprehensive care. The recently launched developments and the clinic's great infrastructure give hope for a positive future.

In comparison, a change has also taken place in the Achenbach Hospital. Prof. Dr. Michael Wich, who has worked there as chief physician since 2005, has retired. Dr. Volker Tober has taken over the management. Tober, who has been with the company since 2007, also brings extensive experience, particularly in arthroscopic joint reconstruction and endoprosthetics. Sana reports that patient care will not change and a strong team is in place to continue to provide high quality care.
