New living concept in Schwalmstadt: Chinapark becomes a quarter at the Südbahnhof!
Schwalmstadt, Deutschland - Great news from Schwalmstadt-Ziegenhain: The former Chinese Park site will be redesigned into a new living space and will in future bear the name "Quartier at the Südbahnhof". This was decided by the city councils in a meeting in which only one abstention was recorded. The project of 8.5 hectares should offer the people on site safe and modern living opportunities in the future, because a total of 300 residential units are planned. Of these, 100 to 150 are to be built as one and two-family houses. A kindergarten with space for up to six groups is also being planned.
Mayor Tobias Kreuter and District Administrator Winfried Becker see this project a future -oriented step for Schwalmstadt. The development contracts are already targeted for the first session after the summer break. The history of the site is remarkable: a factory was once operated there and it was a China fair park. Today it is to Adrian Schmidt and Dr. Bernd Adam, who acquired the area four years ago, to fill this place with new life.
a challenge for everyone involved
The planning of this ambitious project was not a sugar slack. Only 39 authorities were involved in the development of the plans, which was not without challenges. The plan stipulates that the construction work begins next year. How exactly the size of the building sites will fail has not yet been determined. Nevertheless, the developers are concerned about taking into account the wishes of the future builders.
A look at the planners
The architectural concept for the new residential area is developed by the renowned Foundation 5+ Architects BDA & Landscape Architects BDLA . The office has realized a variety of projects in recent years, from renovations to new buildings. In addition to Schwalmstadt, they are also active in Kaufungen and Marburg.
The concept of the neighborhood is now considered directional by many. According to an analysis of the German Cities Day , these neighborhood projects are so important because they offer independent areas of action and planning. This is about a connection between infrastructural conditions and the social needs of the residents. This transformation requires cooperation and social cohesion.
As Schwalmstadt will show, a successful community life strengthened can bring together life and a better quality of life for its citizens: inside. The view of the "Quartier at the Südbahnhof" gives the city and its residents: Inside a perspective for the future - and everyone can look forward to it.
