Frielendorf in theater fever: The Bremen Town Musicians experience live!
in Frielendorf everything will be about the stage shortly, because the theater group of the support association of the Evangelical day care center presents the popular fairytale staging "The Bremen Town Musicians". The premiere will take place on Friday, June 27th in the Hotel Hassia. The anticipation is already noticeable, because three performances are planned for the premiere day: two morning performances at 8:15 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., followed by an evening performance at 7 p.m. The story in which a brave donkey, rejected by its owner, is on his way to Bremen to become a city musician, captivates the spectators. Together with a dog, a cat and a rooster, he sells robbers and finds a new home. This message of courage and cohesion is particularly important in our time.
eight actors - four animals and four people - are volunteering to bring the piece onto the stage. The rehearsals have already started in March and have been taking place twice a week since May. There was also great attention to the design of the costumes and the stage design, which the actors themselves designed themselves. The performance is musically accompanied by melodies from well -known children's songs such as "Räuberlied" and "Captain Sharky". The tickets cost 6 euros for children and 8 euros for adults and are available in the daycare center and the optician "Die Glassen". The proceeds from the event go to both the Evangelical daycare center Frielendorf and the Palmberg School. Due to the great popularity of the last performance, "the jungle book" that took place six years ago, a sold -out hall can be expected again this time, so this time HNA.
including aspects of the staging
But not only the performance in Frielendorf is all about theater. The new production of the "Bremen Town Musicians" also focuses on the topic of social exclusion. In the original fairy tale, the animals are violated by their owners due to their age and abilities. This problem is further thought in modern adaptation. The animals symbolically stand for people who have to cope in new contexts after escape or blows of fate. Brigitte Dethier, the former head of the young ensemble Stuttgart, brings the inclusive project to the stage. She receives support from Torsten Kindermann, known for his musical work at the Schauspielhaus Bochum. The director Christina Zintl and Selen Kara lead the whole, and the Brost Foundation promotes staging financially, which underlines the relevance of this work. This also works on the care facilities such as the Gerhard Kersting-Haus in Essen, where Dr. Thomas Sacher has already visited a performance of the "Town Musicians" Brost Foundation.
Inclusion in the theater - a far -reaching topic
Developments related to inclusion in the theater are of interest in the entire German -speaking area. The Munich chamber games, for example, have included actors with body disabilities and cognitive impairments in their ranks since 2020. These changes come with some challenges, such as the critical examination of the quality of the performances and the efficiency of the theater. Critics fear that the good will to support, including projects, could affect art in the theater. Nevertheless, positive public reactions show that including approaches, a fresh wind in the theater landscape [night criticism] (https://nachtkritik.de/recherche-debatte/ Inclusion-im-theater-zum-ste-der-der-der- der Developments).
It remains exciting how the inclusive theater work will develop, also in Frielendorf. The actors are ready to not only entertain, but also to sensitize and to draw attention to important social issues. The performance of the “Bremen Town Musicians” will not only be a nice experience for young and old, but also a platform for important conversations.
