Obervellmar, Deutschland - The waiting has come to an end! On June 28 and 29, 2025, the bleaching meadow festival will take place in Vellmar for the first time. As part of the city anniversary, which celebrates 1250 years of Vellmar and 50 years of city rights, this district festival for Obervellmar will offer many highlights. The meadow between primary school and the Kita Obervellmar becomes a festive backdrop, organized by the Obervellmar board of trustees and numerous clubs in the city. Around 180 volunteers are actively involved in making the festival an unforgettable experience.

The naming "Bleichwiesenfest" has an interesting story that goes back to the previous use of the site - laundry was once bleached there. The festival program in detail

The program for Saturday, June 28th, starts with the opening of the catering stands at 5 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., Mayor Manfred Ludewig welcomes the guests before the minidisco for small and young begins at 6:40 p.m. A musical highlight of the evening, "Soundxpress", will create a mood from 7:30 p.m. and entertain visitors with live music until midnight.
