1250 years of the Grossenritte: brass music and cheers at the twilight pip!

A festival of brass music and community experienced Grand Rides as part of the celebrations for the 1250th anniversary of Grossenritte and Altenritte. The traditional twilight drink, organized by GSV Eintracht Baunatal, attracted numerous music lovers to the festively decorated courtyard of the old school last Friday. With an estimated audience of 250 people, the event was well attended and ensured an atmospheric atmosphere that invited to sing along and clap. In the late evening hours, over 80 brass musicians of both music trains in an impressive joint performance. The two conductors Mirko Kersten (GSV) and Torsten Eckerle (KSV) led the musicians and animated the audience to actively participate in the action. Peter Cloos, who has acted as a conductor for the GSV music train for 16 years and is therefore the longest-serving conductor of the twilight pint, gave a sample of his repertoire. In his time, a total of three previous conductors led the event: Andreas Alschinger, Karsten Bachmann and Karsten Heyner, who conducted eight, three and twice.

The proceeds of the twilight pint benefit from the youth work of the GSV music train, which makes the event particularly valuable. The support of the Kärmeste team from Großenritte and the proceeds from the beverage and sausage sales are other positive aspects that combine the local community. The youth orchestra of the music train opened the event and already showed at the beginning the talent in the region's brass music promotion.
