Bad Vilbel, Deutschland - in Bad Vilbel has come to the big event: the Hessentag has started! From today to next Sunday, everything is about water, nature and the many facets of the Wetterau region. The city of Bad Vilbel, the Wetteraukreis, the Frankfurt Goethe University and even the Bundestag are part of the tent with the promising name "In the current of time: Stadt-Kreis-Bund". A real highlight for domestic citizens and guests.

The focus of the city of Bad Vilbel is on a central topic: water. This is reflected in various activities, such as an exciting competition of the municipal utilities and informative information, which deal with the topic. Over 500 volunteers, including the well -known Dieter Reitz, have been committed to make the event an unforgettable experience.

The students in cooperation with the Goethe University put special attention to water examinations. Exciting topics such as sewage treatment plants, cleaning levels and the role of pond mussels are treated here. "Nature on the trail" is the name of the special show, which even started before the official opening and has a total of 65 exhibitors. Environmental and Agriculture Minister Ingmar Jung also emphasizes the importance of this exhibition.

This is how the mayor of Bad Vilbel, Sebastian Wysocki, highlighted the detailed design of the stands, while Hessentag representative Claus-Günther Kunzmann praised his recognition for the exhibitors and the team spirit. A magnificent wind orchestra accompanied the official opening, to which a cabinet session on the important topic of the orchards was also announced.

A look into the future

The Hessentag is not only a festival of current diversity, but also takes a look into the future. The State Garden Show Oberhessen 2027, the first inter -municipal garden show in Hesse, is in the starting blocks. This will take place from April 22nd to October 3, 2027 and bring together eleven municipalities to present the Oberhessen region in all its splendor - from floodplain landscapes to historical sites. The aim is to inspire the residents and visitors for the topics of volcano, water, history and nature.
