Starodid works magic: Eintracht Frankfurt U21 celebrates an exhilarating 6-1 win!
Frankfurter Eintracht's U21 team is causing a sensation in the Hessenliga. On August 31, 2025, the talents celebrated an impressive 6-1 home win against SV Adler Weidenhausen. This victory came at the right time after the team previously suffered a 0-2 defeat against SC Waldgirmes and a 1-1 draw against Türk Gücü Friedberg. Even though the guests took the lead right at the start in the 1st minute through Henrik Peter, Eintracht were not discouraged and showed a strong reaction.
Mehetan Yildirim quickly equalized in the 3rd minute and Daniel Starodid put Eintracht ahead 2-1 just seven minutes later. Shortly before half-time it was Starodid who struck again after a goalkeeping error by Weidenhausen, increasing the score to 3-1. Coach Dennis Schmitt's team, who has only been on the sidelines for a short time, showed a dominant performance in the second half. Marvin Dills hit the crossbar before Starodid made it 4-1 with his third goal from a precise cross from Nico Ochojski.
Starodid shines in the storm
The star of the game was clearly Daniel Starodid, who set the course for victory with his hat-trick. Alessandro Gaul Souza also contributed a goal from 16 meters, and Noah Fenyö made it 6-1 with a header from a corner from Ochojski. With this clear victory, Eintracht's U21s move up to second place in the LOTTO Hessenliga. The next game is already around the corner: next Saturday the Eintracht duel will be against TSV Eintracht Stadtallendorf.
New coaching team provides a breath of fresh air
An important reason for the upswing is certainly the new coaching team around Dennis Schmitt. The 38-year-old, who previously worked for the SC Paderborn second team, has succeeded Kristjan Glibo, whose contract was not extended. Under Schmitt, Arber Mustafa, a former assistant coach from Paderborn, is now leading the fortunes of the U21s. The coaching team started with performance diagnostics on June 13th, and the first training sessions followed on June 17th.
Eintracht is now determined to start the new season with a breath of fresh air and a talented team. The entire fan scene is excited to see what heights the U21 can reach under the new management. The summer break ends with a bang for Eintracht - and that's just the beginning!
How the performance in the U21 lifts the spirits of the entire Eintracht family can also be seen in the statistics. On September 2, 2022, Eintracht Frankfurt's U21 defeated Türk Gücü Friedberg 5-2, inflicting a bitter defeat on this team after remaining unbeaten in 18 competitive games. Now we will see whether Eintracht can build on these successes against Stadtallendorf on Saturday. It remains exciting!
