Ostpol Gründercampus: A successful neighborhood meeting in Offenbach!

Something is happening in Offenbach, and it's all about exchange! On Tuesday, August 19, 2025, the Ostpol Gründercampus held its first neighborhood meeting. The aim of this event was to create an informal platform for exchange between tenants of the start-up campus and residents. The event was organized by the city's economic development agency, GBO Gemeinnützige Baugesellschaft Offenbach mbH, KIZ SINNOVA gGmbH and the Mathildenviertel district management.

A lovingly designed supporting program created a relaxed atmosphere in the inner courtyard. Culinary delicacies and drinks were served here, which were certainly well received. Those present were able to exchange ideas during introductions in which founders and companies presented their projects. There was also a house tour that offered exciting insights behind the scenes of the start-up campus. Creative workshops were also on the program - so participants could get active in the drumming workshop and movement games. Especially for coffee lovers, there was freshly brewed coffee from a tenant's portafilter machine, which many would certainly have appreciated.

The East Pole: A Creative Hub

The East Pole is not just a place to work; it acts as a hotspot for creative people and self-employed people in Offenbach. On the start-up campus, copywriters, designers and artists work side by side, which creates fertile ground for creative exchange. Over lunch, ideas come together and projects find their way to implementation. The basis for all of these activities is the building on Hermann-Steinhäuser-Straße, which serves as a solid infrastructure for the founders. Support offers, such as a telephone service, create additional freedom for the creatives' actual activities, so that they can devote themselves entirely to their projects. The East Pole offers 33 offices between 20 and 40 square meters and studios from 20 square meters - ideal conditions for all those who are passionate about their work.

But it's not just founders who find a home in the East Pole: on the upper floors there are also 29 apartments for students of the University of Design, which are therefore directly integrated into the creative process and community life. This close connection between living and working ensures a lively neighborhood and promotes exchange between the various actors in the district.

New contacts and positive feedback

Overall, the neighborhood meeting was perceived as very successful. The many new encounters and impressions speak for this exchange. “It was important to strengthen the connection between the incubator and the neighborhood,” said a representative of the organizers. In Offenbach, these efforts are carried out under the concept of social urban development, which aims to continuously improve the quality of life in the district. The East Pole plays a central role in this by promoting both creative solutions and community interactions. A real competition for everyone involved!

The commitment and openness that was evident at this meeting show that something very big is growing in the East Pole. And not just in a figurative sense, but also in the form of the many exciting projects and initiatives that start here.
