Zero new infections in the Hochtaunuskreis: The corona situation is stabilizing!
There is currently good news about the Corona situation in the Hochtaunuskreis, one of the most sought-after regions in Hesse. According to the regular reports of News.de No new infections were reported on August 10, 2025. This is another sign that the pandemic is noticeably easing in the district. The 7-day incidence remains stable at 0.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The total number of people who tested positive in the region is also stable at 106,830. As far as intensive care beds are concerned, there is also reason to relax. Of a total of 23 intensive care beds in the Hochtaunus district, 10 are currently available, while all 13 occupied beds are used by other patients. There are currently no cases of COVID patients in intensive care units.
Vaccination rates and vaccination strategies
A decisive factor for this positive development is the vaccination rate in the region. In Germany, 76.3% of the population will have been basic immunized by April 8, 2023. The Robert Koch Institute (RKI) has with its VacMap created a platform that makes the implementation of vaccination recommendations public and thus supports targeted measures to improve vaccination rates in regions where vaccination gaps may still exist.
According to the latest data from the Hochtaunuskreis, the vaccination rate, which includes at least one vaccination, is as high as 79%. The health department appeals to citizens to take advantage of the booster vaccination options in order to be well prepared against COVID-19 in the long term.
A look beyond the region

The levels of lethality remain particularly striking: in Hesse the rate is 0.35% among the 376 deaths, which make up over 187,790 nationwide. This decisive turn to health care has also been evident in the 35 to 59 year old age group, which has the highest number of infections with 1,158,647 cases. The new Corona variant Nimbus, which has been under observation since January 2025, is not causing any major concerns for health authorities regarding severe disease progression.
In summary, the Hochtaunuskreis is showing an encouraging and positive development in the Corona situation. Thanks to a high vaccination rate and a stable medical infrastructure, people in the region can hopefully look to the future with confidence.
