This year, Hessians can look forward to a colorful selection of Christmas markets, which open their doors at the end of November. From historic towns to picturesque castles, the markets provide an ideal backdrop for the whole family and are a wonderful opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit. Lit Hessen emphasizes that the markets are family-friendly and offer numerous activities for children.

Christmas markets in Central Hesse

The Christmas markets in Central Hesse in particular have a lot to offer. On the weekends from November 22nd to December 21st, Dagobertshausen will be festive with homemade almonds and regional salmon. Opening hours are Fridays and Saturdays from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Sundays from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Biedenkopf, where the market takes place from November 28th to 30th, scores with hot apricot punch and medieval flat cakes. Live music will also create the right atmosphere here.

In Giessen, on the other hand, they open on November 24th and stay until December 30th. A festive light display awaits visitors at an entertaining pop-up Christmas market from December 4th to 14th.

The traditional markets in Fulda and Schlitz are available for the people of East Hesse: A medieval atmosphere is created in Fulda from November 21st to December 23rd, while Schlitz attracts attention with the largest candle in the world during the Advent weekends.
