World premiere in Gießen: Soul Shift inspires animation fans!

Gießen, Deutschland - yesterday, on June 15, 2025, the highly expected world premiere of the short series "Soul Shift" took place in the Gießen cinema center. This production from Hessen is the result of talented young filmmakers, many of them graduates from universities in Darmstadt and Kassel. Producer Thomas Schneider-Trumpp explained that the development of the series in Gießen originated, which puts the local creative scene in the spotlight. Particularly gratifying: "Soul Shift" was recognized as the best animation and has already received invitations to three other festivals. Another highlight of the event was the series "Love Sucks", which was honored with the price for the best long -term series. This modern Romeo-and-Julia story is about a price box and a vampire and was produced for ZDFneo. The series is currently available in the media library.

The 11th edition of the serial housed a total of 40 series and seven pilot films from 21 countries and also offered an extensive supporting program. Lectures, panel discussions and numerous networking opportunities invited to exchange ideas about current developments and projects. Festival Director Congor Dobrotka was satisfied with the course and the increasing quality of the films shown.

In the shadow of the serial, the Film & Media Meetup took place in Gießen, which brought creative minds from Hesse and all over the world.
