What's going on in Hünfeld? The anticipation for the Gaalbernfest is increasing, because it will not only be a feast for the senses - there will also be something very special: the Hünfelder AHA whiskey! The first of its kind has been maturing for two years in the historic Hünfeld Abbey Vault, one of the oldest meeting rooms in the region, and is presented on the occasion of the Gaalbern Festival. This year, this festival celebrates the 25th anniversary of Hessentag 2000 and promises to be an unforgettable event like that Fulda newspaper reported.
Behind the Hünfelder AHA whiskey is the Schlitzer distillery, which dedicates itself to this special project with a lot of passion and dedication. The whiskey is matured in a specially made oak barrel that has previously been topped with AHA liqueur. This high-quality treatment gives the whiskey a distinctive herbal note that will fascinate connoisseurs and lovers alike. The shelf life and maturation are anything but ordinary; The distillery uses a heavily toasted ex-bourbon cask that has previously contained herbal macerates for AHA Excelsior - a truly unique process that the Spirits Journal described in detail.
The chance to win a limited item
A very special highlight is the opportunity to purchase shares for 100 euros. By purchasing a ticket, you not only secure a bottle of the limited edition whiskey, but also the opportunity to do something good. Because 10 percent of the sales value will go to charity, which will be announced in 2025. The share certificates can be purchased on June 28th and 29th at various sales points and at the market hall in the Lokschuppen. But be careful: this opportunity is limited! After June 29th there will be no more notes.
