Educate and act: Information evening on colon cancer at the Fulda Clinic!

What's happening in Fulda? On November 18, 2025 the time has finally come: the certified colon center at the Fulda Clinic invites you to a comprehensive information event on the topic of “Colon cancer: prevention and therapy”. It starts at 5:00 p.m. and the clinic's lecture hall becomes a stage for experts to share their specialist knowledge.

The event, which was led by Director Priv.-Doz. Dr. Achim Hellinger is directed and is aimed at anyone interested. Registration is not required and entry is free. This is an important opportunity to learn more about one of the most common malignancies of our time.

Experts speak plainly

A highlight of the event are the lectures by three senior doctors, each of whom sheds light on an important aspect of health care on the subject of colon cancer. Dr. Ulrich Brauckmann from the Medical Clinic II will talk about modern cancer diagnostics and the importance of regular preventive examinations. His expertise will help participants understand how critical timely detection is to the chances of recovery.

Dr. Ilka Roth, senior physician in the Clinic for General, Visceral, Endocrine and Oncological Surgery, will present the current surgical procedures, in particular the robot-assisted surgical technique with the DaVinci system. This innovative technology has the potential to significantly improve the surgical treatment of colorectal cancer.

The third speaker, Dr. Andreas Dickhut from the Tumor Clinic sheds light on molecularly targeted therapy options. These modern therapeutic approaches could mean new hope for many of those affected. After the lectures, there will also be time for an open exchange where participants can ask the experts individual questions.
