Heuberg intersection in Eschwege free again after renovation - cost 300,000 euros!
Drivers can finally breathe a sigh of relief! The Heuberg intersection in Eschwege is back in operation after extensive renovation work. This is the news that brings Werra-Rundschau. After the intersection between Südring, Meißnerring and Heubergstrasse was closed for several weeks, all road users can now drive unhindered again.
The renovation of the Heuberg intersection included replacing the road surface, which was urgently needed due to extensive damage. In addition, parts of the southern ring were even completely rebuilt. The Meißnerring and Heubergstrasse have also received a fundamental update. During the construction period it was at least possible to drive on one side of the Südring and the Meißnerring; a traffic light ensured that traffic remained regulated.
Efficient planning optimizes traffic flow
It was particularly important to the planners that the construction site was completed during the summer holidays so as not to disrupt school traffic. An area of almost 2,000 square meters was renovated in just three weeks, and the total costs of the measure amount to around 300,000 euros. Heubergstrasse was completely closed between the shopping market and Südring/Meißnerring. The residents and businesses in the area, such as the Hessenring commercial area and adjacent residential areas, can be reached at any time via the B452 or Andreas-Höhe. Fortunately, city bus line 1 was not affected by the work, which is a relief for many commuters.
The completion of the Heuberg intersection is an example of how targeted construction measures can not only increase traffic safety, but also improve the quality of life of residents. The use of modern technology and careful planning have done their best here.
