An exciting development also takes place in the Forstfeld district, where a balcony power plant initiative was started. A Pilot plant has already been installed on two high -rise buildings on the “Am Felsenkeller” street, and another will follow soon. Nine further orders of tenants for balcony power plants have already been received. But that's not all! The city of Kassel promotes the purchase of such systems with a grant of 150 euros for all citizens. Households with low income can even receive up to 500 euros if they take part in the electricity saving check.
The process for applying for the grant is simple: First, an application must be made and the approval notice has to be waited for before the balcony power plant can be purchased. The invoice and proof of the registration are then submitted, and the grant is already transferred. This measure not only promotes the use of renewable energies, but also contributes to the energy transition and CO2 savings.

At the nationwide level, the Federal funding for efficient buildings (BEG) offers interest-bearing loans with repayment subsidies and grants for new construction and renovations.
