Central ceremony in Battenberg: 123 students start in new adventures!

Battenberg, Deutschland - The graduation ceremony of the Battenberg took place on June 27, 2025 in the local sports hall. With around 400 parents and relatives who gathered for this important occasion, the event was a real highlight in school life. A concentrated program was waiting for the almost 123 students in grades 9 and 10 who celebrated their end.

of the jubilant graduates 36 young people left the high school branch. Many of them will continue their training at the Edertalschule, at the vocational high school or at the technical college. The junior high school can also look forward to 65 grades in class 10, while 22 class 9 secondary school students end the school career in order to now enter the professional world or visit other educational institutions.

In a solemn speech, headmaster Erwin Gavrilas congratulated the graduates and encouraged them to take responsibility. A special focus was on the best of the year, which could shine with excellent performance:

• Gymnasial branch: Jonas Wenzel (G10B) with a grade average of 1.1
• Realschul branch: ilja alenik (R10C)

The school spokesmen Donika Syleimani and Alice Grad thanked the teachers for their support during the entire school days. In addition, awards for special social commitment to several students were awarded, including:

The musical design of the evening took over the school band under the direction of Cornelia Muth-Heldmann and a string group directed by Karin Schmidt. These ensured atmospheric sounds that underlined the emotional atmosphere of the event. In order to reward the valuable work of the music students, eleven outgoing musicians received gifts.

The celebrations were moderated by Emma Born and Nathalie Markus, who led through the program and provided both entertaining and moving moments.

The comprehensive school Battenberg, founded in 1989, offers its over 900 students in three different branches. The high school branch currently has 394 students in 17 classes, and the secondary school branch has 416 students in 11 classes and 6 combination classes. The secondary school branch, which houses 92 students, also contributes to the diversity of the educational institution, which can fall back on a committed teaching staff of around 70 educators and are equipped with modern electronic tables.

Education plays a crucial role in individual development and future economy.
